Hello,

After my mom kicked me out of her place because we were not getting along, I started coming to New Horizons Ministries in the summer of 2011.  I was 18.  I was homeless, depressed from losing a friend to her heroin addiction, and I was scared.  This was my first time being homeless.  The minute I walked through the door, Ken welcomed me to sit down and fill out the intake papers.  He then showed me around NHM and offered me food.

I have been coming back ever since.  Now I am 20 years old.  I have a daughter.   I am no longer homeless, and I am graduating from high school this June.  I keep coming to NHM for case management, support with parenting from volunteers who are young moms, and for food.  If it wasn’t for the amazing staff and volunteers at NHM, I may still be homeless.

Thank you for helping to fund New Horizons Ministries.

Sara
