“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14 (NIV)
This past year you faced some insurmountable circumstances and challenges in your life. Yet you persevered. You kept going, you did not give up. But even in all of this, the danger can be that you can grow complacent. “Wow, I made it and now I am just going to veg out for a while.” I believe that in 2021 God would want you to move out of your comfort zone and become a game changer. I believe He’s calling you to be willing to live on the edge and trust Him. However, when you get out on the edge and become a risk taker, it’s won’t be very comfortable because you will be forging into unfamiliar territory. But I believe this is what God challenges you to because it’s there that you have to put your full trust in Him. I believe you will have new levels of thinking: you’ll change in areas where you’ve been reluctant to change. You will speak more faith, work out more acts of love, you will pray more, give more, serve more, forgive more, care more, and dream more. Our Father is a God of change, a God of new beginnings. Only you are going to have to look up, for He is the God of the hills. Where does your help come from? It comes from the Father, for He is your refuge and your strength. Declare this with me: I declare I’m not looking back but I am forging ahead, looking to my heavenly Father to use me more with all that He’s gifted me, in this New Year, and I will, through His help, break out of my comfort zone and be a game changer.
