“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.”
 Matthew 6:34 (The Message)

Jesus is saying trust me, one day at a time. I know this can be a tough call. It’s not easy to just focus on today. There are so many things that can distract us from His presence, things that we worry about or fear will happen. There is a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. How about those failures of yesterday? What if this job I just got doesn’t pan out? And if we’re not careful, we get so consumed with the worries and fears of tomorrow or yesterday, that we miss His presence and what Jesus wants to do today. This is really about choice. We can choose to be miserable in our worries and fears or be at peace in His presence today. Jesus says my peace I give unto you, not as the world gives but as I give. In His presence there is healing, Joy, contentment, and He tells us it’s one day at a time. It’s not about tomorrow. It’s not about yesterday. It’s about today. Get ready. Your breakthrough is about to happen. That contract you need to be signed or that healing you’ve been praying for: it’s about to happen today. It’s about to happen today. Jesus, my entire attention is on You and what You are about to do today.

Will you declare with me? Jesus I will place my trust in you one day at a time: not yesterday, not tomorrow, but today.
