WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE FACED WITH A CRISIS?
The Free Dictionary by Farlex defines “crisis” as ”a crucial or decisive point or situation; a turning point. It further defines crisis as an emotionally stressful event or traumatic change in a person’s life.” What do we do when this situation or emotionally stressful event occurs? First thing we need to do is to get a right focus. Psalm 121:1-2 NASB says, “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
The second thing we need to do is to put our emotions into check. Don’t let your heart be troubled. Isaiah 43:2 NASB says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”
Then lastly we need to put our complete trust in God. “You are my hiding place; you will save me from trouble. I sing aloud of your salvation, because you protect me.” Psalm 32:7 GNT
