Staff

John L. Dammarell, PhD. serves as the foundation’s Executive Director. He previously served as the pastor of Valley View Christian Church in Kent, Washington from 1976 to 1992 and was the Director of Community Relations for City Ministries of The City Church in Kirkland, Washington from 1997 to 2007.  City Ministries was a food distribution ministry to the Greater Puget Sound area.  Dr. Dammarell holds a Bachelor of Theology from Northwest Christian College, his Master of Divinity from Phillips University, and his Ph.D. in Practical Ministries from California Graduate School of Theology.  In his role as Executive Director, and subject to authority delegated from time to time by the Board of Directors, Dr. Dammarell is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the foundation, including administration of its grant making activities.  Dr. Dammarell is author of the book, “Churches Without Walls.”  He and his wife, Karilyn, have 6 children and 20 grandchildren.
