Small thinking keeps you stuck — it’s time to rise!
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 (ESV)
We all want a breakthrough—whether in our health, relationships, finances, or purpose—but here’s the truth: breakthroughs begin in the mind. Before God changes your circumstances, He often changes your thinking. John Maxwell says, “Your life today is a reflection of your thinking yesterday. Your life tomorrow will be determined by what you think today.” If you want to live differently, you’ve got to start thinking differently.
The enemy wants to trap you in small thinking. “It’ll never happen for me… I’m too old… it’s too late.” But God says, “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.” (Proverbs 23:7). When your thoughts align with God’s truth, your life begins to align with His promises. John Piper once wrote, “Faith is not merely believing in God; it’s believing God is enough.” And that’s the kind of faith that shifts atmospheres. Instead of focusing on what’s impossible, focus on the God who makes all things possible.
When you wake up each morning, don’t let fear or limitation set the tone for your day. Declare instead:
“God’s favor goes before me.”
“His goodness and mercy are chasing me down.”
“He’s working all things together for my good.”
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” That means He’s already placed His power—His Spirit—inside you. He’s not pushing you from behind; He’s working within you. So lift your eyes. Change your thinking. Expect God’s favor. Because your breakthrough doesn’t start when the walls fall down—it starts when your mind rises up. This is your moment. Believe big, think faith, speak life—and watch God do far more abundantly than you could ever dream.
