“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous… for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NASB)
Every one of us hits seasons where life feels like a battlefield—pressure on every side, responsibilities stacking, decisions heavy. Some days you step into the fight feeling outgunned. Joshua knew that feeling. And when God spoke in Joshua 1:9, He didn’t whisper comfort—He issued a command: “Be strong. Be courageous.” Not because Joshua felt strong, but because God was with him.
That same fire is over your life right now. When the economy shakes… when relationships strain… when the battles are quiet and nobody sees—God declares, “I am with you.” You do NOT stand alone. Tozer said God looks for people through whom He can do the impossible. Chambers wrote that faith doesn’t always know the path—but it knows the Leader.
Your pressure isn’t proof God left you—it’s the place where courage is forged and faith becomes flame. So hear this: Your challenges are invitations for God to show His power through you. Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is stepping forward because God walks beside you. And today He speaks to you: “Be strong. Be courageous. Do not fear. I am with you.”
So rise up. Move forward. Fight with fire—because the God who walks with you is the God who goes before you and the God who fights for you.
