“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”
Galatians 6:9 (The Message)

“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.”
James 1:12 (The Message)

Edison failed 1,000 times before he invented the lightbulb. Napoleon Hill said, “Do not be discouraged if you fail a few times,” and it has been said, “Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplish by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.” For nearly 30 years, Abraham Lincoln endured personal pain, financial pain, and political pain, but he didn’t give up. On November 6, 1860, he was elected President of the United States and many consider him to be the greatest president in US history. I’m glad he didn’t give up and had the faith and tenacity to keep going. It was Bear Bryant who said, “Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don’t quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don’t quit until you reach it. Never quit.”

Lord, thank you for the dreams and goals you put in our hearts. Help us to have the faith and courage to keep going. Lord, thank you for reminding us of your Word in Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) that says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
