“God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in seastorm and earthquake. Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”
Psalm 46:1,10 (MSG)

Notice what our Father says, “Step out of traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.” In other words, stop and take time to get off the treadmill of life you have been on. It’s likely wearing you out. “Reset your focus, your attention on Me,” says the Lord, “For I am your safe place, ready to help wherever and whenever you need me.” I love what Psalm 62:5 in the Message Bible says, “God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as He says. Everything I hope for comes from Him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, an impregnable castle: I’m set for life.”
