“He changes the wilderness into a pool of water and a dry land into springs of water; and there he makes the hungry to dwell, so that they may establish an inhabited city and sow fields and plant vineyards, and gather a fruit for harvest. Also he blesses them and they multiply greatly, and he does not let their cattle decrees.”
Psalm 107:35-38 (NASB)
What am I to do when it seems like life is going nowhere? What am I to do when I’m not getting the breakthroughs that I’d hoped for? What am I to do? Life just seems so stressful and so many are struggling with fear and anxiety. These are questions that so many are asking right now.
There are three things I believe that will help to get you past all this funk and help answer the question, “What am I to do?”
- Realize who God is, His character. He has made everything. There is nothing He can’t do, no circumstance He cannot turn around. No matter what is happening and how bleak things might look, He is still in control. Trust Him. Trust Him in His goodness.
- Specifically ask God for His help. “Lord help me not to fall into this pit of fear. Help me to trust you.” “I will cry out to God most high, to God who accomplishes all things for me.” Psalm 57:2 (NASB)
- Don’t give up. Don’t quit. Be strong, be courageous, and keep persevering. Life is a marathon not a sprint. You are going to make it. “He is our refuge, our Strength, our very present help in time of trouble.”Psalm 46:1 (NASB)
