“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)
According to dictionary.com the word thankfulness means feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative. An example of a time when you are thankful is when you are pleased and grateful for what you have. I like what Joel Osteen says, “Gratitude is one of the essential keys to staying happy and inspired in your daily life. When you make a point to find small things to be thankful for, it’s like 1,000 little candles that, all together, can light the darkness.” Somebody in your life today needs to hear you tell them, “I am thankful for you.” It’s so important to work on being thankful every day. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what you don’t have and complain a whole lot. Here’s a question for you. Do you complain more than you compliment? Is there more negativity than positivity that comes out of your mouth? It has been said, “The power of thanks trumps everything.”
