“And He said, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”
Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)

Would you agree with me that we live in a fast-paced environment? Do you ever feel at times like your life is on a merry-go-round that is spinning faster and faster and if you don’t get off, you’re going to crash? Or have you been stressed out a lot lately and know that you need some rest? In His presence there is rest. In His presence there is fullness of joy. In His presence there is peace. In His presence there is provision. In His presence there is victory. Psalm 16:11 (KJV) says, “You will show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more.” Psalms 42:1 (NASB) says, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for you, God,” and Deuteronomy 4:29 tells you that God reveals Himself to those who earnestly seek Him. If you want to walk in the presence of the Lord, then you need to be practicing the presence of God. It has been said that one of the ways you can do this is through worship. By placing yourself before Him in a place of adoration, you make room for Him, and focusing your attention on Him increases your awareness of being in the presence of God in your life. Learning how to soak in God‘s presence through worship is one of the most valuable things you can do with your time. God has promised that as you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you and you will experience Him in ever increasing measure. Make this your prayer: Lord, help me to be more disciplined, soaking in Your presence, and not allow those things that seem so urgent to crowd out the important things in my life.
