“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NASB)

As a believer you will need courage to persevere no matter what the circumstances. You will need courage to triumph over fear. You will need courage to take a chance when no one else will. You will need courage to follow your vision and courage to stand up for what you believe. Courage includes faith, patience, and the grit to say no; the ability to forgive when you don’t want to; and the most courageous thing you can do is stay true to the course when everyone else has abandoned you. Remember that God has not put within you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. It was Winston Churchill who said, “Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” And it’s also been said, “Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true courage.”Be reminded daily of God’s word that He’s with you whatever is happening, wherever you go. Be strong and courageous, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you. He will never leave you. He is with you always. Be encouraged and remember this: God is for you!
