“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.“
Psalm 34:1 NASB

When you’re going through difficult times, how often do you find yourself focusing on what God has not done yet instead of having that attitude of gratitude, thanking and praising Him continually for what He has done? The word gratitude is a feeling or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive. It has been said, “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.“ I Thessalonians 5:18 NASB says, “In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I have a challenge for you today. Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Do I have a grateful attitude toward God and toward others?
  2. How will I express my gratefulness today to God and to others?

For starters:

  1. Express your thanks to God when you don’t feel like it. Just do it. It will change you.
  2. Call someone you really appreciate and let them know how much of an influence and impact they’ve had on your life.
