“The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.”
Proverbs 16:9 NASB
Perhaps you got up this morning and left your house with a plan, but you needed the Lord to direct your steps. But sometimes we struggle with that, don’t we? When you say, “Direct my steps,” you are saying, “Lord, I want my plans to fit into your plans. Lord, I’ve been trying to be more patient at work, but it isn’t working. I need your help. Lord, I have this big business deal and I need your wisdom. Today, not tomorrow. I need your help today. Today I want to be in step with you. Life is filled with choices. His steps or your steps. Are things right with Him and His plan at the center of your life or do you feel like your life is in need of lining up with His steps? You can decide right now to make a change. It’s all about Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV), “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
