And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know. The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Mark 4:26-29 NASB
Your business is all about God. It’s God who will grow your business. Just as the farmer prepares the soil and casts the seed, you use the skills and talents that the Father has given you and, when you apply His wisdom to your talents and you work hard and are diligent to do well with what God has purposed for you to do, then you rest. You don’t fret or worry but you rest, and your sleep is sweet because you trust that God is at work bringing in the harvest, opening up new avenues of income, opening doors and divine appointments, and pouring out His favor on your behalf. It is really about Matthew 6:28-33 NLT which says, “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”
