The 2019 LRF Champion for the Northend was given to The Golden Girls, who have diligently and consistently provided a gourmet lunch for the members at Matt Talbot Center for 11 years. This group of ladies really go above and beyond with their meals, carefully planning the menu and shopping for healthy and delicious cuisine many of the members at MTC may have never experienced. They loved serving so much that they decided a few years ago to serve TWICE a month. A few of these ladies even saw a need and decided to do a professional clothing drive and bought brand new suits and dresses, shoes, and accessories for the women at Matt Talbot Center to wear to job interviews. These ladies have made such a huge difference in the lives of SO MANY men and women over the years, and all of us at Liberty Road Foundation want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts!

The Phil Cathey 2019 Volunteer of the Year was given to Brian Pearce, owner of Pearce Heating & A/C in Redmond. Brian has been serving LRF for 10 years, during the annual Charity Golf Tournament & Auction. He picks up all of the supplies/banners/signs/bins/etc from the warehouse a month before the event, then picks up everything the night before and delivers everything to The Golf Club at Newcastle on the day of the event, stays to help with cleanup, loads up the truck and delivers everything back to the LRF office late that night – then returns 2 weeks later to take everything back to the warehouse! We are so grateful for Brian and his service to LRF.
