“O My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.”
Psalm 62:5-6 NASB

Here David is speaking to his soul: that is his mind, his will, and his emotions. And he Is saying, “Soul wait, slow down, be quiet.” But where do you find silence? Everything around us seems to be moving so fast and it seems so noisy. One option to find silence may be to get up really early in the morning, but there’s another kind of silence. It’s where you tune out everything else so you can wait for God only; that’s His presence. It’s in His presence that supernatural things begin to happen. Doors are opened, opportunities come knocking, creative ideas are born, and His favor is poured out.

Challenge:

Tune out so you can get tuned in. Then wait.
