“The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Planted in the house of the LORD,
They will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still yield fruit in old age;
They shall be full of sap and very green,
To declare that the LORD is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”
Psalm 92:12-15
Age has a way of bringing wisdom and discernment to us through the years. It has a way of slowing us down so as not to get so caught up in the tyranny of the urgent. It helps to mature us to see coming dangers. Age brings greater grace and more patience. Age is like a best friend. With that friendship comes wise advice and discernment. With age there can come more mental and emotional strength, vitality, and productivity, and as the scripture says, even in old age we will still produce fruit and remain vital and green. Never ever regret that everyday you are getting older. It happens to all of us, but be aware of how you go through the aging process.
