Artitudes Design Inc., who has volunteered every month for the last 8 years at the Matt Talbot Center, shared their experience with us while serving a delicious BBQ sandwich lunch to approximately 40 men and women.

“Everyone at Matt Talbot is so nice! We’ve made relationships with all of them, staff and members alike.  They are always so appreciative and I’m not used to being around people who appreciate such simple things, like a simple act of making lunch.” ~ Carrie Gorrell

“In no other part of my life can I get a sense of fulfillment or satisfaction than when I’m helping others in a setting like this.” ~ Justin Mader

“I’m so thankful to my company for letting me do this and making it a part of their regular business focus…to give back.  This is my favorite day of the month.  I’ve been doing this for 8 years now and I have had many of my major life moments right here at Matt Talbot Center.  Two days before my wedding, I was here serving lunch.  When I was pregnant, they threw me a baby shower.  I’ve brought my baby and she sat in a high chair right here in this kitchen while I made lunch for everyone.  I always try to make something for them that I would eat myself…no fat or gristle, and healthy!  I love that I get to go back to work feeling happy and accomplished.  I’m so grateful to Liberty Road Foundation and Artitudes Design for introducing me to the opportunity to serve at Matt Talbot Center.” ~ Carrie Searing
