“He changes a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry land into springs of water; and there He makes the hungry to dwell, so that they may establish an inhabited city, and sow fields and plant vineyards, and gather a fruitful harvest. Also He blesses them and they multiply greatly, and He does not let their cattle decrease.”
Psalm 107:35-38 NASB
We’ve all had those times where it seems that life is going nowhere. We’re not getting those breakthroughs that we had hoped for and things are just tough right now. There are 3 things I believe will get you past all this funk:
- Realize who God is, His character. He has made everything. There’s nothing He can’t do, no circumstance He cannot turn around. No matter what is happening and how bleak things might look. He’s still in control – trust Him. Trust Him in His goodness.
- Specifically ask God for His help. “Lord, help me not to succumb to this pit of fear. Help me to trust you. “I will cry to God most high, to God who accomplishes all things for me.” Psalm 57:2 NASB
- Don’t give up. Be Strong, be courageous, and keep persevering. It is a marathon not a sprint. You are going to make it. “He’s our refuge, our strength, our very present help in time of trouble.” Psalm 46:1 NASB
