“Jesus spoke to them: ‘Good morning! Did you catch anything for breakfast?’ They answered, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Throw the net off the right side of the boat and see what happens.’ They did what He said. All of a sudden there were so many fish in it, they weren’t strong enough to pull it in.”

John 21:5-6 The Message

Just maybe life has become too normal, too routine and you need to shake it up a bit. We all have our comfort zones – those people you like best because you know they like you, or those places or situations that you know are safe and make you feel secure. John Maxwell said, “If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.” It’s been said, “At the end of your comfort zone is where adventure begins and life dances with trembling joy.” If you think that you have become too comfortable and too routine then now is the time for you to break through those walls that have made you feel secure and throw your nets on the other side. One of the biggest reasons life becomes too routine is because we are thinking of ourselves, because it’s all about what makes us feel good and feel secure. Well, now is the time to break through those self-centered walls and start making an investment in others. Choose to make an investment of your time and your finances. Luke 6:38 in The Message reads, “Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”
