“God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need Him.  We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in seastorm and earthquake.” Psalm 46:1-2 The Message

Sometimes you carry some stuff around that you have no business carrying and it wears us out.  There are 4 things that will help you:

  1.   Commit:  The bible tells you in Proverbs 16:3 (NASB), “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.”  The word “commit” literally means to roll your burdens, your thoughts, your plans on the Lord.  The results are in His court and up to Him.
  1.   Cast:  “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”  Psalm 55:22 (NASB)
  1.   Trust: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB) says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  Trust is the idea of lying face down helplessly.
  1. Rest:  Then you need to rest, to wait patiently. Psalm 37:7 (NASB) says, “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him”
