“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

1 Peter 5:7 NLT

Life is filled with challenges and they come in all different shapes and sizes. At times it may seem almost unbearable to you. You wonder if it will ever end.  Will I get through this?  Nehemiah was faced with what looked like an insurmountable challenge – the rebuilding of the walls and gates of Jerusalem.  He said this in Nehemiah 1:3 (The Message), “They told me, ‘The exile survivors who are left there in the province are in bad shape. Conditions are appalling. The wall of Jerusalem is still rubble; the city gates are still cinders.’”  Not only were there challenges but he was faced with naysayers forever confronting him and harassing him. The very first thing Nehemiah did was to sit down and weep and then he sought the Lord in prayer.  In Mathew 11:28 Jesus says these words, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (NIV).  I was with a gentleman the other day who is going through some unbelievable challenges and he said these words to mel, “I have got to let go and let God.”  Great wisdom. Stop right now and look at what you’re facing and how it is affecting you. You don’t need to fret, struggle or fight anymore.  Let go and let God.
