“And He said, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”

Exodus 33:14 NKJV

In His presence there is fullness of joy.  In His presence there is peace.  In His presence there is Provision.  In His presence there is victory – no mountain too high, no road too difficult.

Psalm 16:11 KJV says, “You will show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”  And Psalms 42:1 NASB says, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God.”

God reveals Himself to those who earnestly seek Him (Deuteronomy 4:29). If you want to walk in the presence of the Lord, then you need to practice being in His presence. One of the major ways you can do this is through worship. By placing yourself before Him in a place of adoration, you make room for Him, and through focusing your attention on Him, you increase your awareness of being in His presence. Learning how to soak in God’s presence through worship is one of the most valuable things you can do with your time.

“God has promised that as we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us and we will experience Him with us in ever increasing measures.”

Lord, help me to be more disciplined, soaking in Your presence, and not allow those things that seem so urgent to crowd out the important things in my life.
