“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:18-19 NASB

The Message Bible reads, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.”

As you start this New Year, stop thinking about how things could have been or should have been. But instead, as you start this New Year, enter it with a whole new level of expectation believing that God is able to not only accomplish all those goals that you have planned for 2017 but to exceed them beyond your wildest imagination. Ephesians 3:20 NLT says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” The Message Bible reads, “God can do anything, you know — far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” The key to this scripture is His mighty power that works within you. This is about being submitted to His power, leaning not on your own understanding but trusting that He will act on your behalf, blessing you beyond your dreams and desires. My prayer for you is that your New Year be filled with His favor and that He would bless you with many open doors and divine appointments, prospering you in all you do. Happy New Year!
