“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

Phil. 4:6-9 NASB

As your thoughts turn toward Christmas, the stress trap can easily consume you.  How is your attitude with all that is going on in your life?  Are you finding yourself more stressed and on edge at times?  Are you letting the circumstances around you affect your attitude?  Here Paul talks about guarding your attitude.  He tells you that you are to replace anxiousness and worry with prayer and thankfulness and to think on those things that are positive and uplifting in your life.  Take a few moments to get refocused.  Just think about all the blessings you have in your life. This will change your attitude.

DECLARATION:

Dear God, I am so grateful for all the ways you have blessed me. I bring to you all those things that have been troubling me.  I realize I have been trying to carry the entire load myself.  I give it to YOU for you have told me if I am burdened that you will give me rest.  And help me to focus on those things that are positive and uplifting in my life, those blessings that I have so often taken for granted.  In Jesus name, AMEN.

Have a blessed Christmas Season, for we all have so much to be thankful for, remembering that God gave the best gift of all when He gave His Son, Jesus Christ.
