“You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.”

Psalm 119:1 The Message Bible

Do you find yourself struggling with staying focused on your purpose?  Maybe you find yourself getting caught up in what I call the rabbit trail syndrome or another way to put it – jumping from one thing to another because we think it looks more enticing without following through and finishing. Perhaps a goal for 2015 could be that you would be more purposeful. It’s been said that purposefulness is having “conscious” intention. It is having a clear focus on what you’re doing and why you are doing it. It’s also been said that we need to devote our whole selves to the project at hand, not a part time or sorta-kinda commitment. Here are 4 suggested steps of action to help you to be more purposeful:

  1. A clear-cut understanding of where you are headed.
  2. Discipline to stay focused.
  3. Diligence to keep going in spite of the circumstances.
  4. Faith to believe that God wiil help you to live the purpose He has given you.
