“Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that are ruining the vineyards,
While our vineyards are in blossom.”
Song of Solomon 2:15 NASB
As a leader it is so easy to get caught up in the big picture and fail to see the little things, which if not attended to, will ultimately ruin your business. 1 Kings 22:34 it says, “Now a certain man drew his bow at random and struck the king of Israel in a joint of the armor.” As the king of Israel discovered too late, even small openings in armor can be fatal. Even small weaknesses may result in major product or service failures that will affect your customers. It would be good to evaluate your systems and processes and repair any weaknesses or holes and ask your customers for their feedback. Pay attention to the little things and your business will enjoy ongoing success. Elizabeth Stuart Phelps said, “It is not the straining for great things that is most effective; it is doing the little things, the common duties, a little better and better.”
