Jim Johnson is the Managing Partner of Group 42 LLC, a consulting firm that provides interim executive services to small and medium sized privately held companies.

Prior to founding Group 42, Jim served as President and CEO of Pro-Tech Services, a medical device company recognized worldwide as the premier designer, manufacturer, and distributor of sensors used in sleep apnea studies.

Before becoming a part of the Pro-Tech team, Jim served in various executive positions within PACCAR, a multinational technology company that manufactures premium commercial vehicles sold around the world under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates.  Assignments crossed all areas of company operation including Sales and Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Quality.

Jim is a graduate of the University of Washington with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering.  He and his wife Pat live in Woodinville where they are very active in their church, both having served in leadership positions.  They are the proud parents of two adult children.  For relaxation, Jim restores and races vintage and historic race cars with his daughter. Jim also serves as an adjunct professor and Board Chairman for the International School of Entrepreneurial Leadership (iSOEL), and is President of the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN).
