“Give, and it will be given to you.  They will pour into your lap a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, and running over.  For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”  (NASB)

 Luke 6:38

It is hard to live where we live and hear what we hear and not be tempted by greed.  Covetousness and greed are in the same family.  The online dictionary defines greed as, “an excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth.”  We overcome greed and covetousness with generosity being liberal in giving of our time, giving of our money.  Here is a suggestion:  Ask God to help you become a generous giver and begin to make a list of people or organizations you have thought of giving to, wanted to give to, but never have.  Then give and have one of the most wonderful days you have ever experienced.
