“Jesus wept.” NASB

                                                                   John 11:35

This is the shortest verse in the Bible yet one of the most profound and applicable to our lives.  “Jesus Wept.”  The Free dictionary by Farlax defines “wept” as “to express emotion, such as grief or sadness, by shedding tears.”

Jesus has emotion.  He has compassion.  He is moved with your needs.  He cares what you are going through, your struggles, your financial woes, your physical illness.  He will protect you, heal you, provide for you.  The Bible tells us in Matthew 9:35-36a, “Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages.  He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives.  When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke.  So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd.“  His heart breaks for you and your needs.  There is no need too small or too large that He can not meet.  Your prayer might go something like this:  Father, I thank You that You are meeting all my needs according to Your riches in Christ Jesus and You are my refuge and strength, my very present help in time of trouble.  I thank You that You are my protector, my healer, my wisdom, my strength, my provider, my peace, in Jesus name, Amen.
