“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.”  (NKJV)  I Corinthians 4:4-8a

When we really search our heart, it causes us to ask this question, “Do I love only the people that I think have great potential, the people that I feel are worth the investment?”  Yet we come to realize that we don’t know how to love until we understand How Jesus loves.  In these verses of scripture God is describing how Jesus loves.  This kind of love never gives up, never loses faith.  Circumstances cannot change His love.  His love endures.  His love moves with those who hurt and overlooks their past.  He just says, “I’ve got to help them.”

DECLARATION:  Thank you, Jesus, that you never give up on me.  Help me to love others like you love me.
