“I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense.  I saw that it was overgrown with nettles.  It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down.  Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest – then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.” (NLT)

Proverbs 24:3-034

This last verse in The Message reads,

“You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, with poverty as your permanent houseguest!”  Little, Little, Little!  Do you get the idea that Little is really a big deal.  My wife will say to me, “Honey, it’s the little things that are important for a woman.”  A little neglect here and a little neglect over there and that only leads to failure.

Sometimes we can be so focused on the big picture, we miss managing and doing the details that will produce that big picture.  Our prayer might be something like this:  “Father, search me and show me if I need to refocus my energies and put more care and

concern into the details of my business.”
