“The mind of man plans his way,

But the Lord directs his steps.”

Proverbs 16:9 (NASB)

Perhaps you got up this morning and left your house with a plan but you needed the Lord to direct your steps.  But sometimes you struggle with that, don’t you?  When you say, “Direct my steps,” you are saying, “Lord, I want my plans to fit into your plans.  Lord, I have been trying to be more patient at work, but it isn’t working.  I need your help.  Lord, I have this big business deal and I need your wisdom.  Today, not tomorrow.  I need your help today. Today I want to be in step with you.” Life is filled with choices – His steps or your steps?  How are you doing in this?  Do you feel like you need to make some changes in this area?  You can decide right now to make a change.  It’s all about Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil.” Message Bible
