“Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” (NLT)

Romans 12:10

“Honor is the respect that is given to someone who is admired: good reputation:

good quality or character as judged by other people.”

Free Merriam Webster Dictionary.

I have often wondered why we wait until people die to honor them.  I can remember as a pastor being asked to officiate in funerals where I had not known the person.  I would allow some time during the service for friends to share something about the deceased.  When I heard incredible things about the person, I would often regret that I had not known that person.  What are you waiting for?  Now, today, you have an opportunity to speak praise and encouragement into someone’s life.

Perhaps you know someone who has made an impact on your life.

DECLARATION:

I declare that with God’s help I will seek to be more aware of the value of those

around me and will not hesitate to share honoring words.

I will remember that one encouraging word, one phrase, can change a life.
