Our non-profit partners need volunteers to help make a difference in their communities.  Where can you make a difference?  Here are some of the opportunities:

Bellevue’s JUBILEE REACH:  Before School Care – purchase food, cook and serve breakfast to approximately 30 Lake Hills Elementary School kids between 6:10-8:00am during the school year.  Available days of the month:

2nd Monday

When there are 5 weeks in a month – 5thMonday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

 

Seattle’s MATT TALBOT CENTER:  Purchase food, cook and serve lunch to approximately 40 adults between 11:00am-12:30pm.  Available days of the month:

1st Monday, Wednesday, Friday

2nd Monday, Friday

3rd Wednesday, Friday

4th Monday, Wednesday, Friday

5th Monday through Friday

 

OLIVE CREST:  Cook dinner for evening Foster Parent Support Groups and watch their kids while they meet.  Where do you want to serve?  There’s a Foster Parent Support Group near you.

 

Redmond’s RAVEN ROCK RANCH:  Volunteers are needed to clean stalls, scoop “poop”, work with kids.  Things on their wish list include:  Hay (huge need), carrots for the horses, riding helmets for kids, a covered arena and round pen so the program can be run year round, 22 – 12′ long x 5′ high Nobel Fence Panels (cost for 1 panel is $150), 90 truck & trailer loads of 1.25 crushed rock (1 load is $500), Noble Horse “Run-In” Shed 12×12 (cost $1200)

 

Rainier Valley’s URBAN IMPACT:  Whatever your skill, talent or passion, there is a place for you at UI.

Homework Helpers at Rainier Beach High School, Mo-Th, 2:30-4:30pm

Creative Activism Service Projects at Rainier Beach High School – CAS is a portion of Int’l Baccalaureate curriculum and would benefit from mentors in the community willing to advise students and support them in these projects – 2 hours a week.

Rainier Health & Fitness – Childcare Mo-Thu 5-8pm, Group Exercise Instructors M, W, F, Sat 6-8pm
