Seven years ago, Jack Rehse, a longtime employee of Guild Mortgage Company, invited other co-workers and friends to volunteer every 1st Tuesday of the month at Jubilee REACH (one of our non-profit partners), cooking and serving breakfast to approximately 20 boys and girls who live in the low income area of Lake Hills Elementary School.   They started out serving pop tarts, and now they have a full hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, croissants, peanut butter & jelly english muffins, and fruit.

“It’s much healthier.”  ~ Jamie Morishige with Guild Mortgage Company
“Serving helps me to live in gratitude.  We love serving the kids…and we’ve been able to watch them grow up!”  ~ Patty Parsons with Windermere Real Estate
“There is a sense of fulfillment to serve the community in this way.”  ~ Wade Char with General Electric
“We love knowing that these kids and their parents get a sense that people who don’t even know them care about them.” ~Naomi Char with Puget Sound Energy
This group of volunteers understands the importance of children eating healthy and how it helps in brain development!  And to help the parents in this way has been such a help to those in need.  They are a true blessing to so many in our community!!!
