Walk with me for a few moments through the waste places of our communities, our cities. Families are in all kinds of trouble. Divorce and child molestation are at its highest. Emotional abuse, drug and alcohol addiction and teenage suicide are at record levels…pain and more pain. Business leader, God has planted you where you’re at and has set you apart and anointed you to be those agents of hope and healing, bringing an expression of the love of Jesus Christ into the hearts of our cities. You are that bridge of love to the least of these. But time is running out…the clock is ticking. Business leader, you must answer the call. You can no longer afford to get comfortable behind the four walls of your business while the families of our communities are imprisoned in their poverty, fear, brokenness and confusion. Rise up, oh marketplace! For we march not to the drumbeat of this world but to the drumbeat of the Holy Spirit. “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news.” Isaiah 52:7 NASB
