“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.”
Psalm 42:1 NKJV

When my children were small, I would come home from work, and they would always be there to meet me at the door, saying, “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy.” They would climb into my lap and seemed perfectly content because they were in their daddy’s lap. We need to be perfectly content sitting in our Father’s lap, focusing on Him. In our Father’s lap there is rest. John 14:27a NASB says,“ Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.“ In our Father’s lap there is security and protection. “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. Psalm 91:7 ESV.” In our Father’s lap there is healing and hope that today will be better than yesterday. In our Fathers lap there is love with no strings attached, no conditions. Our Father just loves us, and there is nothing that we can do that will make our Daddy love us any less or any more. He just loves us and keeps on loving us.
