“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I Thessalonians 5:18 NASB

According to dictionary.com the word thankfulness means feeling or expressing gratitude; appreciative.  An example of a time when you are thankful is when you are pleased and grateful for what you have.  I like what Joel Osteen says, “Gratitude is one of the essential keys to staying happy and inspired in your daily life. When you make a point to find small things to be thankful for, it’s like a thousand little candles that, altogether, can light the darkness.” Somebody in your life today needs to hear, “I am thankful for you.” It’s so important to work on being thankful everyday. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what you don’t have and complain a whole lot. Here’s a question for you. Do you complain more than you compliment? Is there more negativity than positivity that comes out of your mouth? I like what my pastor, Royce Wilson, says, “The power of a thanks trumps everything”.
