“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature;

the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.”

II Corinthians 5:17 (NASB)

Wow, I am so excited about the New Year ahead of us!  I believe it is good that we reflect on last year and praise the Father for where we have come, but let’s not get stuck on yesterday’s successes or yesterday’s failures because He is about to do something new in our midst.  Perhaps you have grown too comfortable, too content.  You may be in your own little world, but there is one thing to remember about being a giver: you have to be willing to live on the edge and trust God.  When you get out on the edge and become a risk taker, it’s not very comfortable.  You are forging in unfamiliar territory.

But I believe this is what God wants, because it is here that you have to trust Him.  I believe you will have new levels of thinking.  Areas where you have been reluctant to change will change.  You will speak more faith, walk out more acts of love, get out of your comfort zone.  You will pray more, give more, serve more, forgive more, care more and dream more.  Our Father is a God of change, a God of new beginnings, for it is no longer you who lives but Christ who lives in you.  Only look up for He is the God of the hills.  Where does your help come from?  It comes from the Father.  For He is your Refuge and your Strength.

DECLARATION:

I declare I am not looking back but I am forging ahead, looking to my Heavenly Father to use me more in all that He has gifted me with in this new year and I will, through His help, break out of my comfort zone.
