“There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?” Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted.”

John 6:9-11 NASB

Jesus looks at the Crowd and sees their need. No way is Jesus going to send them home hungry! He tells His disciples to feed them and they respond by asking, “Where are we to buy bread so they can eat, Lord? We have just a few loaves of bread and some fish.  How are we to feed them?”  You see, so often we have this attitude of scarcity.  We say, “I only have so much. How can I possibly help this person out or give to this need?” It took a small boy to shake them back into a better perspective – not an attitude of scarcity but an attitude of “God, you can do anything.” No need is too big for God. Perhaps you have been looking at your situation, your need, your challenges and your dreams through the lens of scarcity.   Step out now in faith. You can trust Him.
