“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor fearful.”
John 14:27 (NASB)

Right now, in our nation, there’s a lot of unrest, anger, and fear. But the good news of Jesus Christ is that our hope is not tied to the circumstances around us. It’s anchored in Him. John Piper once said, “Hope is not the absence of suffering, but the presence of God.” That means even in the storm, God is with us.

Max Lucado reminds us, “The presence of fear does not mean you have no faith. Fear visits everyone. But make your fear a visitor and not a resident.” Jesus offers a peace this world cannot give. a peace that passes all understanding.

So today, instead of letting fear or anger take root, let’s turn our eyes to Jesus. He is our anchor when the waves rise. He is our light when the darkness presses in. And He is our unshakable hope in a world that feels shaken.

No matter what’s happening around us, the Prince of Peace is still on the throne. And His promise is sure: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Be encouraged our hope is alive, and His name is Jesus.
