“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (NASB)
Fear is a constant companion in business—fear of failure, fear of financial collapse, fear of making the wrong decision. But let’s be clear: fear is not from God. What He gives us is different—power, love, and a sound mind. That’s what you carry into your business, your ministry, and your mission.
Warren Buffett once said, “The most important thing to do if you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging.” When fear grips you, don’t dig deeper into worry and doubt—stand firm in faith. Instead of reacting in panic, respond in prayer. Faith doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It means you trust the One who does.
Henry Ford said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” When fear clouds your vision, fix your eyes on God’s purpose, not just the problems. You don’t walk this path alone. God is your provider, your protector, your guide, and your strength. So, when fear whispers, “You can’t,” let faith declare, “But God can.”
And I love what John Maxwell said: “Faith does not make things easy—it makes them possible.” It won’t always be smooth, but with God, it will always be significant. John Piper takes it even deeper. He says, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.” So, when fear rises, anchor your joy not in outcomes, but in Him. Your peace doesn’t come from perfect plans—it comes from a perfect Savior.
Action Step:
Fear paralyzes. Faith moves. So today, take one bold step forward—trust deeply, lead courageously, and let God lead the way. You were not made for fear. You were made for faith. And through that bold faith, may your business, your ministry, and your life shine as a testimony to a watching world.
