“Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, while our vineyards are in blossom.”
Song of Solomon 2:15 (NASB1995)

These little foxes come in all different packages trying to discourage you and even rob you of your dreams. Some of those foxes could be critical people telling you your ideas will never work out. Or it may be that you become isolated and shut yourself off from good counsel and accountability.

Another fox might be procrastination. Olin Miller said, “If you want to make an easy job seem mighty hard, just keep putting it off.”Alyce Cornyn Selby said, “Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried,” and Timothy Pychyl, a psychology professor and researcher said, “Procrastination is a clinically recognized coping mechanism,” And finally, John Maxwell said, “Many great businesses are led by procrastinators.”

Here is a tip to help you to guard against these foxes. Proverbs 27:23 (NASB1995) says, “Know well the condition of your flocks, and pay attention to your herd.” In other words, establish an ongoing evaluation process in your personal life or in your business, and then work hard at being consistent with that process.
