“Jesus spoke to them: ‘Good morning! Did you catch anything for breakfast?’ They answered, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Throw the net off the right side of the boat and see what happens.’ They did what he said. All of a sudden there were so many fish in it, they weren’t strong enough to pull it in.’”
John 21:5-6 (MSG)

Has life become too normal, too routine? Do you need to shake it up a bit? We all have our comfort zones. There are people you like best because you know they like you, or there are places or situations that you know are safe and they make you feel secure. John Maxwell said, “If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.”

If you think that you have become too comfortable, then now is the time for you to break through those walls that have made you feel secure and throw your nets on the other side. One of the biggest reasons life becomes too routine is because we’re thinking about ourselves and what makes us feel good and feel secure. Well, now is the time to break through those self-centered walls and start making an investment in others. Choose to make an investment of your time and your finances. Luke 6:38 (MSG) says, “Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”
