“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”
Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB)
“My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live Him. You’re deeply rooted in Him. You’re well constructed upon Him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7 (MSG)
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)
I have personally found through the day that having a grateful, thankful attitude keeps me focused. It switches my thinking more on God and others, and less on myself. It was Ralph Waldo Emerson, who said, “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and give thanks continually. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” And Joel Osteen said, “Every day set your mind in the right direction. Find something to be grateful for.”
Here is a takeaway for you:
Wake up every morning with a grateful heart and expect something good to happen in your life today.
