You have great and effective doors open for you, but there are always adversaries trying to block your entry. They are there to try to keep you where you are and hold you back. All those open doors are guarded by adversaries that have been there for years. They don’t give up easily because with open doors and promotions come resistance. Pastor Wendell Smith used to say, “New levels, new devils.” Another mountain to defeat.
You and your family, your business associates, your marriage, your finances, and your attitude toward work will be tested. If you faint with footmen, what are you going to do when the horsemen come?
Get ready to run with the horsemen. To do this, you’re going to need greater grace. You will need to pray more. We get more grace by getting into the throne room. Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) says, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
It has been said, “Because it is a throne of grace, nothing is required of you but your need. Your ticket to this throne is not works but desperation. God doesn’t want sacrifice or gifts or good intentions. He wants your helplessness in order that the sufficiency of His grace, at work on your behalf, might be magnified.”
