“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

I am really excited about the new year ahead of us – 2023! It’s good to reflect on the last year and we praise our heavenly Father for all that He has done for us, but let’s not get stuck in yesterday’s successes or failures. God is about to do something new in your midst. Perhaps you’ve have grown too comfortable and need a faith challenge. I want to encourage you in this new year to live on the edge and trust God more. Getting out on the edge is not very comfortable because you’re forging into unfamiliar territory, but I believe this is what God wants because it is here that you really must trust Him. I believe you’ll have new levels of thinking, for instance, areas where you’ve been reluctant to change will change. You’ll speak more faith, walk out more acts of love, and get out of your comfort zones. You’ll pray more, give more, serve more, forgive more, care more, and dream more. Your Father is a God of change, of new beginnings. For it’s no longer you who lives, but Christ who lives in you. Only look up, for He is the God of the hills. Where does your help come from? It comes from the Father, for He is your refuge and strength and helper. Come on. Step out in 2023 and remember this, no weapon raised up against you will prosper for, with Him, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. May God bless you with love, peace, and joy, and may He bless all that you put your heart and hands to. Happy New Year.
